Milton Keynes Partnership Committee brings together Milton Keynes Council, English Partnerships, Local Strategic Partnership representatives from the health, community and business sectors and independent representation. The day to day activities of MKPC are carried out by Milton Keynes Partnership.
Milton Keynes Partnership
Milton Keynes Partnership works with a range of organisations to help make projects happen and to secure money for schemes that will benefit the whole of Milton Keynes.
They are the local planning authority responsible for determining major planning applications in the eastern, western and northern expansion areas of Milton Keynes.
Role of Milton Keynes Council
Milton Keynes Council, remains in charge of determining planning applications in the rest of the borough and for determining minor applications in the expansion areas. The council is also responsible for plan making for the whole borough and for creating policy on all issues including transport, parking and open spaces that MKP and other organisations must pay regard to.
Invest Milton Keynes
Within Milton Keynes Partnership the Invest Milton Keynes teams remit is to bring new businesses and jobs to the city and to help existing businesses grow. A search for commercial premises and land can be carried out via the Invest Milton Keynes website.
