West Stevenage
The government’s Sustainable Communities Plan highlighted the need for more housing in the South-East, and English Partnerships has been tasked with bringing forward strategic sites in the area to accommodate household growth.
English Partnerships owns a 28 ha former waste disposal site adjacent to the A1 in Stevenage that, subject to planning approval, could be brought forward for development along with adjoining land holdings to relieve housing pressure in the area.
A planning application has been submitted by a consortium of developers for a new community with up to 5,000 houses on land at West Stevenage, including English Partnerships’ land.
